In this post I would like to talk about one verse and its application to the book of Genesis.<\/p>\n
John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him<\/strong>. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\nWhat does it mean when it says that there is “no truth in him”?\u00a0 Does this mean that Satan is incapable of telling the truth?\u00a0 If Satan is incapable of telling the truth is Genesis 3:5 a lie?<\/p>\n
Genesis 3:5\u00a0 “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
We have God telling us in Genesis 3:22<\/p>\n
Genesis 3:22 Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; …”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Is there any difference between what Satan said and what God said?<\/p>\n
Before I tell you what I think, I would like to know what you think.\u00a0 How do you reconcile Jesus’ words that say that there is no truth in Satan and the words in Genesis 3:5 compared to Genesis 3:22?<\/p>\n
