Payne in &#8220;Man and Woman One in Christ&#8221; pg 338.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">I do not agree with complementarians that there are two entirely separate prohibitions that are not connected.\u00a0 But I do not agree with Philip Payne either that there is only <em><strong>one prohibition<\/strong><\/em> and that this prohibition is to be defined as the forbidding of women to <em><strong>assume authority<\/strong><\/em> for <em><strong>themselves<\/strong><\/em> to teach men without a <em><strong>properly delegated authority<\/strong><\/em> from men.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">I will be developing this post in the next few days as I have time, and I may add to it as the discussion continues.\u00a0 The original discussion that promoted this post was from an ongoing discussion here<a href=\"https:\/\/mmoutreach.org\/wim\/2010\/08\/10\/1-timothy-215-going-deeper\/\"><strong> https:\/\/mmoutreach.org\/wim\/2010\/08\/10\/1-timothy-215-going-deeper\/<\/strong><\/a> I will be shutting down the comments there as the posts tend to have problems when the comments reach a very high number and\/or when the comments reach a certain length.
