The first Adam brought sin into the world through his disobedience.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Romans 5:12 (NASB) \u00a0Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin&#8230;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">While Jesus as the LAST Adam freely chose to come to earth from Heaven and to live a sinless life by shunning evil and obeying the Father, the first Adam sinned of his own free will, choosing to disobey his Father as an act of <em>his<\/em> own free will.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">2. \u00a0<strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A witness to the truth vs silence<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Jesus as the LAST Adam came to earth to testify to the truth.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">John 18:37 (NASB)\u00a0Therefore Pilate said to Him, \u201cSo You are a king?\u201d Jesus answered, \u201cYou say correctly that I am a king.<em> For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth<\/em>. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It was the<em> failure of the first Adam to testify to the truth<\/em> that started the process towards death and decay. \u00a0Although Adam knew the truth and he was not deceived at all, he would not testify to that truth when his wife was being deceived by the serpent.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">1 Timothy 2:14 (NASB) \u00a0And it was not Adam who was deceived&#8230;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">3. \u00a0<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Exposing the lie vs silence<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Jesus as the LAST Adam was faithful in <em>exposing the lies<\/em> because He wanted <strong><em>the truth to stand<\/em><\/strong>. He said that if what his disciples believed was a lie, He would tell them.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">John 14:2 (NASB) \u00a0\u201cIn My Father\u2019s house are many dwelling places;<strong><em> if it were not so, I would have told you<\/em><\/strong>;&#8230;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But the first Adam had no care to expose the lie. The serpent told lies to his wife and it certainly &#8220;was not so&#8221;, but the first Adam did not take responsibility to correct the error. \u00a0He remained silent and in silence he allowed <strong><em>the lie to stand<\/em><\/strong> without opposition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">4. \u00a0<strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Losing nothing vs losing one&#8217;s wife<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The LAST Adam was a faithful shepherd of the flock, keeping watch and losing none of them. \u00a0He never failed and He never walked away.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">John 6:39 (NASB)\u00a0\u201cThis is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me <strong><em>I lose nothing<\/em><\/strong>, but raise it up on the last day.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">1 Peter 5:8 (NASB) \u00a0Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">5. \u00a0<strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Bringing the curse vs bearing the curse<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The first Adam brought the curse into the world&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Genesis 3:17-18 (NASB)\u00a0Then to Adam He said, \u201cBecause you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, \u2018You shall not eat from it\u2019;\u00a0<strong><em>Cursed is the ground<\/em><\/strong> because of you&#8230;Both <strong><em>thorns<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>and thistles<\/em><\/strong> it shall grow for you; &#8230;&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But the LAST Adam willingly wore a crown of thorns bearing on His own body the curse that was placed on the first Adam&#8217;s behalf.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">6. \u00a0<strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Patiently bearing vs patience with evil<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Jesus as the LAST Adam patiently bore our sin on the cross while the first Adam was patient with evil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">7. \u00a0<strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Courage vs weakness\u00a0during the trial<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">When the LAST Adam knew that it was time for Him to die, he approached the enemy with full knowledge of the future and He made <\/span>request<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> for the safety of his flock.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">John 18:4\u20139 (NASB)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> 4 So Jesus, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, <strong><em>went forth<\/em><\/strong> and said to them, \u201cWhom do you seek?\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> 5 They answered Him, \u201cJesus the Nazarene.\u201d He said to them, \u201cI am He.\u201d And Judas also, who was betraying Him, was standing with them.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> 6 So when He said to them, \u201cI am He,\u201d they drew back and fell to the ground.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> 7 Therefore He again asked them, \u201cWhom do you seek?\u201d And they said, \u201cJesus the Nazarene.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> 8 Jesus answered, \u201cI told you that I am He; so if you seek Me,<strong><em> let these go their way<\/em><\/strong>,\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> 9 to fulfill the word which He spoke, \u201cOf those whom You have given Me <strong><em>I lost not one<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The first Adam was <strong><em>not<\/em><\/strong> bold in the face of the enemy and he did<strong><em> not<\/em><\/strong> protect the innocent. \u00a0He was not a strong tower or a source of protection. \u00a0He was weak when he should have been strong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">While the first Adam failed us, the last Adam is our refuge and our strength in time of trouble.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Psalm 37:39 (NASB9)\u00a0\u00a0But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD;\u00a0He is their strength in time of trouble.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Jesus as the LAST Adam gave His back to those who whipped Him&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Isaiah 50:6 (NASB) \u00a0I gave My back to those who strike Me,\u00a0And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard;\u00a0I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8230;<\/span>in contrast<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> the first Adam protected his own skin.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Genesis 3:12 (NASB)\u00a0The man said, \u201c<strong><em>The woman whom You gave<\/em><\/strong> to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">8. \u00a0<strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Death vs life<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Jesus as the LAST Adam died so that in Him we could <em>live<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">John 6:40 (NASB) \u00a0\u201cFor this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The first Adam lived in such a way that all of us <em>died<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">1 Corinthians 15:22 (NASB) \u00a0For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">9. <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Selflessness vs selfish existence<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The LAST Adam died with no thought for His own welfare. \u00a0He willingly gave up His life and His death brought mercy from God to all who would believe.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Luke 22:42 (NASB) \u00a0saying, \u201cFather, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">John 4:34 (NASB) \u00a0Jesus said to them, \u201cMy food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The first Adam was kicked out of the garden because his sin nature couldn&#8217;t be trusted to stay away from the now prohibited tree of life. \u00a0The Gesenius&#8217; Hebrew and Chaldee lexicon says this about the &#8220;stretching out&#8221;:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;he might stretch out&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">(2) it stands at the beginning of a sentence, where\u2014(a), it implies prohibition and dissuasion &#8230;(b) it implies fear, dread.
