{"id":180,"date":"2007-11-03T17:27:57","date_gmt":"2007-11-04T00:27:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/strivetoenter.com\/wim\/2007\/11\/03\/mary-as-gods-kind-of-woman\/"},"modified":"2007-11-03T17:27:57","modified_gmt":"2007-11-04T00:27:57","slug":"mary-as-gods-kind-of-woman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mmoutreach.org\/wim\/2007\/11\/03\/mary-as-gods-kind-of-woman\/","title":{"rendered":"Mary as God&#8217;s kind of woman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In conjunction with my new series on marriage started with my previous post and the question of whether a wife is to have a man take authority over her (as if her husband is required to rule her), <a href=\"http:\/\/complegalitarian.blogspot.com\/2007\/11\/mary-mother-of-christ-submitted-to-god.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>click here to read an excellent blog article<\/strong><\/a> about the best example of a New Testament &#8220;God&#8217;s kind of woman&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Can God choose to use a woman in ministry without first consulting with her husband?\u00a0 Must a woman&#8217;s spiritual decisions be filtered through her husband?\u00a0 These are some of the questions that complementarians have posited as a basis for saying that women cannot take any positions of authority in the church because women would need every church decision they make to be approved by their husbands before they would be allowed to make any decision.\u00a0 The story of Mary refutes this faulty thinking.<\/p>\n<p>Was Mary a godly women who knew that she didn&#8217;t need a male authority figure to ask permission to say &#8220;Yes&#8221; to God?\u00a0 The complementarian example of a godly Christian wife is blown away by the obedience and example of Mary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In conjunction with my new series on marriage started with my previous post and the question of whether a wife is to have a man take authority over her (as if her husband is required to rule her), click here to read an excellent blog article about the best example of a New Testament &#8220;God&#8217;s kind of woman&#8221;.
