  1. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.

Joh 10:22 At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter,
Joh 10:23 and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon.

is a reference to Hanukkah in the NT.

This is equivalent to saying something like, “It was Christmastime and Don was in church.” The working natural assumption is that the 2 clauses are coupled and not independent, that is, that the reason Don was in church was because it was Christmas and the reason Jesus was in the temple is because it was Hanukkah; which is a non-Tanakh holiday started under the Maccabbees.

  2. Hi Cheryl!

ON Christmas day after all the festivities, I found I had a few hours alone so I watched the Trinity DVD again and went over my notes and studies with it. It is so jam packed that even after watching it at least 6 times before, I keep learning. I have checked almost all of the passages in context and it has been so edifying. I still marvel at the work you put into this. And I am so grateful you stuck with scripture instead of going into what man has taught on this subject over the last 2 thousand years. You let the Word teach us!

Blessings to you and yours for the New Year!

  3. Don,

That is a great example of Jesus celebrating this special season!

    Lin,

Thank you for the kind words!  You are one person who is always willing to check out the material and the context.  A woman after my own heart!

    pinklight,

    Amen!
